Fifteen Things I Forgot to Pack
The one thing I can’t live without: tweezers. A liquid bottle of insect repellent. My black shoes. I packed a black dress and a back up dress, but the backup dress also requires black shoes. My blouse – the blouse that goes with my embarrassingly open suit jacket. My sense of direction. Also seem to have misplaced my ability to read maps, which does not help. That staple of English winter wear, a scarf, so I picked up a plaid wool scarf for £2. My coffee cup, so I’ll drink my coffee out of my plastic bowl. Any underwear (I now have 5 fancy pairs of Venetian underpants). My lunch. I’ve certainly never forgotten to eat, so forgetting to pack my lunch… how is that possible? The lower half of my zip off pants, despite two reminders from Angi. Deodorant last time I went to Vietnam, and I had a hell of a time trying to find some. My daily indigestion remedy (doctor’s prescription). The correct undergarments for the dress that I was wearing to a wedding. All of my Spanish class notes from the last seven years. My earplugs, and with my husband’s horrible snoring, I knew my vacation was going to be ruined.
